Consider Running for Public Office

To make affective change we need liberty-minded people like you to run for public office. Our citizens deserve to have candidates on the ballot who represent libertarian ideals. This is only possible if people like yourself decide to become a candidate and stump for our principles of individual freedom and entrepreneurial opportunity for all.
As a political party, we are able to nominate candidates to be on the ballot. We can help your campaign by providing you with guidance, training, and volunteers.
Reasons to be a Candidate
1. Provide voters a choice to cast a vote for what they want instead of what they feel they must put up with.
2. People will become aware of Libertarian ideas and solutions. As a candidate, media and issue advocacy groups will seek you out for your Libertarian proposals and publicize them through the Internet, social media, newspapers, radio, and/or TV.
3. If you are a first-time candidate, you will learn how to campaign, build a support base, and gain name recognition that you can use for a future run for office.
4. Your campaign will impact other Libertarian campaign
s, increasing each other’s vote totals and the Libertarian vote total statewide. You will be able look back on your campaign knowing that you helped to advance liberty — and all the blessings that it brings.
5. Your campaign will draw new members into the Libertarian Party. Some may become future Libertarian leaders and candidates.
