Newsletters

Fellow Libertarian,

I’m excited to share something new with you: the latest issue of the new LPColorado News.

Here’s a quick story. At our February Board meeting, Joe Johnson—our Campaigns Director—and I each independently proposed starting a newsletter. That told us something. There was a real need to keep Libertarians informed of the great things libertarians are doing in Colorado. So we merged our ideas, refined the vision, and now— for better or worse—you have me as editor.

Why did we both believe so strongly in this project?

Because our core supporters—people like you—deserve to see the real work being done. The outreach booths. The candidate recruitment. The legislative battles. The conventions. The victories. And yes, the opportunities for you to make a difference.

We also know something else: people don’t invest in organizations that provide no tangible value in return.

That’s why LPColorado News will be a printed, mailed publication—reserved as a premium benefit for our monthly contributors of $17.76 or more. Past issues will appear online, but subscribers will receive the LPColorado News first, delivered directly to their mailboxes.

Printing and mailing cost more than $2.33 per copy, depending on the quantity. That may not sound like much—but multiplied across hundreds of supporters, it becomes a significant expense. Rather than draining precious Party resources, we’re turning the newsletter into a tool that strengthens them.

Which brings me to something I’m especially proud to announce.

In 2026—the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—we are reviving the 1776 Club.

Membership in the 1776 Club is automatic for anyone who signs up for a monthly contribution of $17.76 or more. And the first benefit is your printed copy of LPColorado News, delivered by first-class mail.

But this is about much more than a newsletter.

Monthly giving provides predictable income. And predictable income changes everything.

If you’ve ever run a business—or even balanced your household budget—you know the power of knowing what’s coming in each month. It means:

  • Reserving booths at fairs and gun shows
  • Securing speakers and venues for our state conventions
  • Promoting or opposing legislation while it’s being debated
  • Funding voter turnout efforts around election day

Reliable revenue allows our volunteers to act boldly instead of cautiously.

Now consider the multiplier effect.

Your $17.76 monthly contribution covers your newsletter—and allows us to print six additional copies to distribute at fairs, conventions, and events every single month.

If you donate $20 per month, that becomes seven additional copies.

At $50 per month, it’s 20 extra newsletters spreading the message of liberty across Colorado.

At $322 per month—the maximum amount—that becomes 138 extra copies monthly fueling outreach.

And remember: the purpose isn’t simply printing newsletters. The purpose is growing the Libertarian movement.

More outreach leads to more members.
More members leads to more volunteers.
More volunteers strengthen campaigns.
Stronger campaigns attract attention.
More voters register Libertarian.
And perhaps most importantly, some become the leaders of tomorrow.

That is the compounding effect of your steady support.

We have a new slate of candidates to promote in 2026. Our newly-elected board members are ready to work. And this year we aim to turn out every registered Libertarian voter in Colorado.

Will you stand with us?

As they say, money is the mother’s milk of politics. The work of this Party is done by volunteers. Your monthly contribution directly fuels their ability to act.

If things are tight, join the 1776 Club for $17.76 per month.

If you can stretch a little, make it $20.00.

If you’re in a position to lead boldly, consider $50 or even $322 per month.

Go to LPColorado.org/Donate and select a monthly contribution.

Let’s make 2026 a turning point. Let’s build predictable strength. Let’s expand liberty across Colorado—together.

Yours in Liberty,
Doug Jones
