1. The state party provides access to your membership contact information in the Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system so you can update changes from your meeting signup sheet. Changes to phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, volunteer status, and other important information are easy to do. Be sure to collect donations at your local meeting, too.
2. You can create and update your events which will be included in the statewide email blasts. It’s a real simple, 2 minute job which can be done by your Secretary or Membership person. These changes are due 2 days before the statewide email is sent on the 1st (26th-30th) and the 15th (13th). Contact the database manager for details. Training is available. There’s documentation at lpcolorado.org/kb/add-and-edit-events/.
3. You can post a pdf of your newsletter on lpedia.org, for example, http://lpedia.org/Libertarian_Party_of_El_Paso_County, and include a link in the statewide email blast that goes out on the 1st and 15th.
4. You’ll be able to send up to 50 emails at a time to people in your county. If you need to send more than that, the state party can assist you. You can select people by Volunteer Status, Zip, City, Precinct, and Age and other information.
5. You can create News posts which will also be mentioned in the statewide email blast.
6. If you have new (or old) people who need to be added to the database, you can do that.
7. We can set up a donation page for your affiliate.
8. The state party can create and mail postcards for you, but you will have to pay for them. Estimated cost is 50 cents each. No postcard order is too small. 10 is fine.
9. We have lists of young voters (ages 18-24) by precinct. Send postcards to them and invite them to check out the LP or come to your local meeting. There are new young voters every year so you can do this every month. The state party can send you a list of the number of young voters in each of your precincts.
10. Start a campus affiliate on your local college campus. a) collect the mailing addresses for campus dorm rooms and sorority and fraternity houses and put them in a spreadsheet, one line for each room. No names are necessary. b) send postcards addressed to “Potential Voter” inviting them to check out the LP. September, October, November, and January through April are the best months. You can do this year after year.
