Bylaws of Libertarian Party of Delta County
I. Identification
- The name of this organization is the Libertarian Party of Delta County or LPDCO. The LPDCO is a Political Party Committee, duly registered with the Delta County clerk under the Fair Campaign Practices Act of Colorado.
- The Libertarian Party of Delta Colorado is a recognized affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Colorado.

II. Structure and Organization
- Libertarian Party of Delta County consists of the members and their duly elected Officers.
- Official actions of Libertarian Party of Delta County may be held at any time or place approved by the Board of Directors.
- Positions of the Board of Directors may be created or removed by a ¾ majority vote of the members present.
- Amendments of these By-laws must be approved by a ¾ majority vote of the members present.
III. Purpose
- To promote libertarian values, ideas, and candidates.
- The Board of Directors must describe any action to this end.
IV. Membership
- Members must be registered as Libertarians for 90 days residing in Delta County.
- Members elect Officers of the Board of Directors by a majority vote of ¾.
- Chair will establish voting procedures.
- A ¾ majority vote of the Board of directors may allow exceptions to membership requirements.
- Dues are voluntary at $5/month or $50/year.
V. Board of Directors
- The Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County is composed of the following Officers:

- Secretary-Treasurer
- Outreach Director*
- Webmaster *

- Duties
- Chair
- Ensure that the activities of the Libertarian Party of Delta County are conducted in a timely, responsible manner.
- Chair all meetings of the Board.
- Set the agenda for the Board meetings.
- Regulate and rule on all votes by members of the Board and the general members on any considered issues.
- Co-ordinate with the Libertarian Party of Colorado Chair.
- Secretary-Treasurer
- Keep all financial records of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
- Maintain a bank account in the name of the Libertarian Party of Delta County, and sign all checks drawn upon that account.
- Disclose financial information concerning the Libertarian Party of Delta County upon request of appropriate parties.
- Record and maintain the minutes of the meetings.
- Is acting chair when the Chair is absent.
- Coordinate with the LPCO Treasurer.
- Outreach Director
- Use the resources of the Libertarian Party of Delta County to promote the Libertarian Party.
- Coordinate with the LPCO Outreach Director.
- Webmaster
- Maintain the electronic presence of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
- Coordinate with the LPCO Webmaster.
- Actions of the Board of Directors
- Official actions of the Libertarian Party of Delta County must be approved by all members of the Libertarian Party of Delta County Board of Directors by unanimous vote.
- Members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County may vote by any means at their disposal, subject to approval by Chair.
- Members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County may delegate responsibilities to any general member subject to approval of Chair.
- All members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County will be responsible and accountable for all official actions of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
- Election of Officers
- Officers are elected by the members for a twelve-month term.
- Officers are elected by ¾ majority vote of all members present.
- Officers may be elected to the Board at any time subject to approval of members.
- Removal of Officers
- Officers may be removed at anytime by a ¾ majority vote of the Board of Directors or ¾ majority vote of members.
