Register as a Libertarian

While you can vote for whomever you like, registering as a Libertarian in Colorado is very helpful to the cause of Liberty in many ways.

First and foremost, you are adding your name to the thousands of other Libertarians in Colorado. This gives our movement recognition and credibility in Colorado politics. You become part of the Engine of Liberty.

Secondly, you become a member of the Libertarian Party of Colorado. You will receive our newsletters. You will also be eligible to vote in your local and state party conventions. These conventions are where candidates are nominated and platforms are determined. You are not only part of the Engine of Liberty, you also steer.

Third, you get to meet other Libertarians and work together. We will completely respect your privacy if you wish. If you ask us to, though, we will put you in touch with other Libertarians in your community. Together, you can work to advance Liberty in your corner of Colorado.

In order to register as a Libertarian in Colorado, you need to complete a Voter Registration Form and mark "Libertarian" in the Party Affiliation section. Depending on the version of the form you get, it will either be a checkbox or an empty area. If it is an empty area, write "Libertarian" in it. Once you have completed the form, mail or deliver it to your County Clerk's Office.  Addresses and phone numbers for each county's clerk's office are on page 2 of the registration form.

In a week or so, you will receive a new voter registration card from your county clerk's office.

When you receive your registration card, please let us know.  We get occasional updates from the Colorado Secretary of State Office with new registrations, but in order to get your membership processed quickly, please send us an e-mail at:
